“Dancing with the Stars” to stay away from “American Idol” January 14, 2007 5:27 pm

Two reality sensations; Fox’s American Idol and ABC’s Dancing with the Stars will not be competiting head-to-head this Spring when the later returns in March.
It was announced today by ABC at their TCA press tour session.
“The great thing about this air schedule is that fans won’t have to choose between the two reality hits this spring,” said Stephen McPherson, president, ABC Entertainment.
Dancing With the Stars returns March 19 with a two-hour special from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. ET. The second performance show, the following week, will be two hours as well. The first results show will air Tuesday, March 27 from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Beginning April 2, Dancing with the Stars will air Monday’s from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Dancing with the Stars the Results Show will air Tuesday’s from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. ET.
