The CMA Awards powers ABC to a rare Monday win in households, viewers and adults 18-49. NBC’s “Heroes” continues to impress, winning the evening in adults 18-49.
ABC finished in first place with a 9.9/15 HH rating (15.89M viewers) and a 5.4/13 A18-49 rating.

- 7.05M viewers [#4]
- 2.9/7 A18-49 rating [#3]
- From 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, ABC aired the “40th Annual CMA Awards” (9.9/15 HH rating, 15.89M viewers, 5.4/13 A18-49 rating) gave ABC a nice boost in their goals towards winning the ratings race, though the program was down from last years numbers in households and viewers.

- Households – 11.1/17 to 9.9/15
- Viewers – 17.73M to 15.89M
- A18-49 – 5.4/14 to 5.4/13
- Year-to-year numbers (Tuesday, November 15, 2005 on CBS):
CBS followed in second for the evening with an 8.0/12 HH rating (12.54M viewers) and third in adults 18-49 delivering a 4.3/11 rating in that demo.

- At 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM, “How I Met Your Mother” (5.4/8 HH rating, 8.43M viewers, 3.3/9 A18-49 rating) and “The Class” (4.9/7 HH rating, 7.70M viewers, 2.9/7 A18-49 rating) showed dips from their most recent airings, with the class suffering the most.

- At 8:00 PM, “Deal or No Deal” (9.0/13 HH rating, 14.51M viewers, 4.4/11 A18-49 rating) started off the evening for NBC down from the week prior in all categories, but none the less provided strong ratings for the peacock.

- At 9:00 PM, “Heroes” (8.4/12 HH rating, 14.33M viewers, 6.6/16 A18-49 rating) continues its strong run, matching a series high in the key adults 18-49 demo on its way to a win on the night in that demo.

- At 10:00 PM, “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” (5.3/9 HH rating, 7.78M viewers, 3.3/9 A18-49 rating) can’t seem to increase its audience though it didn’t lose much of its audience from its previous airing. “Friday Night Lights” did better in viewers and adults 18-49 when NBC tested it in the timeslot last week.

- At 9:00 PM and 9:30 PM, “Girlfriends” (2.0/3 HH rating, 2.95M viewers, 1.4/3 A18-49 rating) and “The Game” (1.9/3 HH rating, 2.87M viewers, 1.3/3 A18-49 rating) like its lead-ins also stayed pretty even from the week before. The lineup though is down from the same time period last season.
