Another slow Saturday has CBS the winner in households, viewers and adults 18-49. Not many tune in to ABC’s College Football presentation.
CBS finished in first for the evening with a 5.9/11 HH rating (8.63M viewers), and a 2.4/8 A18-49 rating.

- 1.7/6 A18-49 rating [#3]
- At 8:00 PM, a repeat of “CSI: Miami” (5.4/10 HH rating, 8.00M viewers, 2.0/7 A18-49 rating) showed nice gains over last week.

- Households – 3.8/7 to 5.4/10
- Viewers – 5.59M to 8.00M
- A18-49 – 1.3/5 to 2.0/7
- Week-to-week time-period numbers (“Numb3rs”):
- At 9:00 PM, a repeat of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” (6.1/10 HH rating, 9.00M viewers, 2.6/8 A18-49 rating) was the highest rated program on the night in viewers and adults 18-49.
- Week-to-week time-period numbers (“CSI: NY”):
- Households – 5.5/10 to 6.1/10
- Viewers – 8.17M to 9.00M
- A18-49 – 1.7/6 to 2.6/8
- Week-to-week time-period numbers (“CSI: NY”):
- At 10:00 PM, a new “48 Hours Mystery” (6.3/12 HH rating, 8.90M viewers, 1.8/6 A18-49 rating) ended the evening for the Eye as the highest rated program in households .
- Week-to-week numbers:
- Households – 5.4/10 to 6.3/12
- Viewers – 7.67M to 8.90M
- A18-49 – 2.2/7 to 1.8/6

FOX followed in second for the evening with a 4.0/7 HH rating (6.39M viewers) and a 2.3/7 A18-49 rating.

- From 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Fox aired two episodes of “Cops”, one new and one a repeat, (3.6/7 HH rating, 6.10M viewers, 2.2/7 A18-49 rating) and did well enough for second place on the night.
- At 10:00 PM, “America’s Most Wanted” (4.3/8 HH rating, 6.69M viewers, 2.4/7 A18-49 rating) increased a bit from its lead-in audience in viewers and adults 18-49.
NBC finished in third with a 3.8/7 HH rating (5.27M viewers) and a 1.6/5 A18-49 rating.

- At 8:00 PM, a repeat of “Dateline NBC” (3.7/7 HH rating, 5.03M viewers, 1.7/6) stayed consistent from the week prior.

- A18-49 – 1.5/5 to 1.7/6

- At 9:00 PM, a repeat of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” (3.4/6 HH rating, 4.57M viewers, 1.3/4 A18-49 rating), improved upon the numbers of recently pulled “Kidnapped” (which will finish off its run online at NBC.com).

- Households – 2.6/5 to 3.4/6
- Viewers – 3.78M to 4.57M
- A18-49 – 1.2/4 to 1.3/4

- At 10:00 PM, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (4.4/8 HH rating, 6.20M viewers, 1.9/6) was the networks top rated program in households, viewers and adults 18-49.
- Week-to-week numbers:
- Households – 4.6/8 to 4.4/8
- Viewers – 6.52M to 6.20M
- A18-49 – 1.7/6 to 1.9/6
- Week-to-week numbers:
ABC followed in fourth with a 3.2/6 HH rating (4.91M viewers) and a 1.5/5 A18-49 rating.

- 2.0/7 A18-49 rating [#1]
- From 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, ABC aired “ESPN on ABC College Football” (3.2/6 HH rating, 4.91M viewers, 1.5/5). Depending on your regional location, you either viewed the match up of Oklahoma at Texas A&M (43% of the nation), Virginia Tech at Miami (38% of the nation) or UCLA at California (19% of the nation). As you can see by the above mentioned ratings, college football last night was not viewed by a large audience and ratings were down for ABC week-to-week.
