“Dexter” renewed for a second season November 3, 2006 6:13 pm

Showtime has ordered a second season of its new show “Dexter”. The series premiered with 603,000 viewers on Sunday, October 1 at 10:00PM with a solid 443,000 viewers tuning in for the immediate repeat at 11:00PM, bringing the total to 1.04M for the first episode.  Those numbers were Showtime’s best since the premiere of “Fat Actress” back in March of 2005.

The series has continued to average about 2M viewers a week when tallying all airings on the Showtime networks.

Production will begin on 12 new episodes in early 2007 for a 2nd season premiere of Summer 2007.

This show is the best show I have ever seen in my life and I am gonna be soooooooo happy when the second season is released. I LOVE DEXTER:)

This show is so awsome. Freaky, but awsome. I’ll never understand how a show as stupid as 24 could be watched more than a show as smart as Dexter.
