Delivering a 3.5 household rating and an average of 4.33 million total viewers in primetime, ESPN stayed on top the ratings for Cable television networks. The “Monday Night Football” matchup between the Eagles and Packers (12.89M) was tops for the cable net.
Its closest competitor was TNT, which averaged a 2.1 household rating and 2.53 million total viewers in primetime. The presentation of the Tom Hanks movie “Cast Away” (3.96M) was the highest rated show for the network.
ESPN was also first in all key demos; A18-49 (2.05 million), A18-34 (935,000) and A25-54 (2.12M viewers), all due to the strength of owning the top 5 shows in cable for those demos.
USA Network finished in third place with an average household rating of 2.0 and 2.43 million viewers. The two-hour presentation of “WWE Raw” was the highest rated program for the network on the week, delivering an average of 4.77M viewers.
Following in fourth place was Cartoon Network, with an average household rating of 1.3 and 1.43 million viewers, followed closely in fifth by Fox News Channel (1.2 household rating, 1.33 million viewers).
Disney Channel was the top rated non ad-supported network, clocking a 2.5 household rating and 2.94 million viewers.
