The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton last Friday, April 29, averaged 22,766,469 viewers across 11 networks from approximately 6AM to 7:15AM, Nielsen Wire reports.

TLC has announced that its new series SAY YES TO THE DRESS: BIG BLISS has been renewed for a second season. The network has ordered 12 half-hour episodes, slated to premiere in May 2011. Taped inside premier bridal salon Kleinfeld Bridal, each episode follows the emotional journey of plus-size brides as they shop to fulfill their dream dress fantasy. For a plus-size bride shopping for her big day, the pressure is at an all-time high, not only to find the dream dress, but the perfect fit too.

TLC has announced that they’ve renewed new series Say Yest to the Dress: Atlanta and Strange Sex for second seasons, and also announced renewals for Four Weddings (season three), Toddlers and Tiaras (season four) and I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant (season four).

One of television’s favorite families prepares to say goodbye as TLC confirms that the previously announced upcoming sixth season of the hit series LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD will be the series finale. For more than 200 episodes, the Roloffs – parents Matt and Amy, both little people, and their kids Jeremy, Zach, Molly, and Jacob – have welcomed viewers to share their daily lives from their pumpkin farm in Oregon. Since it began airing in 2006, an average of 74 million P2+ viewers each year tuned in to LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD to watch the family’s adventures.

TLC announced today during their TCA panel that former governor-turned celebrity Sarah Palin’s new TLC show, called Sarah Palin’s Alaska, will premiere November 14.
The network also announced that Kate Gosselin will make an appearance with Palin and her family fishing for salmon and hiking on glaciers.

As hinted at previously, TLC has opted not to continue their partnership with the Miss America organization and the 89-year old franchise will have to look for yet another home.
“We are happy that TLC was part of the modernization and revitalization of the Miss America pageant,” said TLC in a statement. “This year we delivered record ratings, besting any of its prior performances on cable. However, our three-year deal has concluded and we have chosen not to renew. We wish the Miss America Organization well.”

Bad news for Syfy’s Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica. Week three of the series drew just 1.13 million viewers and a 0.4 A18-49 rating. That was down a steep 20% from last week’s episode (1.41M viewers and a 0.5 A18-49 rating). Caprica is down 29% from its series premiere (1.60 million viewers).
Also on Friday, the new Starz! series Spartacus: Blood and Sand increased in its third week to 858,000 viewers (+11%) and a 0.4 A18-49 rating (n/c). The show is up 30% in viewers and 33% in A18-49 rating since its premiere (659,000 viewers and a 0.3 A18-49 rating).
Ratings for a few other cable shows on Friday night worth noting include Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network which drew 2.195 million viewers and a 0.5 A18-49 rating and Discovery’s Swamp Loggers which drew 1.49 million viewers and a 0.7 A18-49 rating.
