Theatrical trailer for Puss in Boots

DreamWorks Animation has released the theatrical trailer for Puss in Boots. Click over the jump to watch the trailer.

Featuring the voices of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek and Zach Galifianakis and directed by Chris Miller, Puss in Boots is scheduled to hit conventional and 3D theaters on November 4, 2011.

DreamWorks Animation announces release slate through 2014; Includes Mr. Peabody & Sherman (3/21/2014) and How to Train Your Dragon 2 (6/20/2014)

DreamWorks Animation’s theatrical release schedule is currently planned as follows: Kung Fu Panda 2 for May 26, 2011 and Puss In Boots for November 4, 2011; Madagascar 3 for June 8, 2012 and Rise of the Guardians for November 21, 2012; The Croods for March 1, 2013, Turbo for June 7, 2013 and Me and My Shadow for November 8, 2013; Mr. Peabody & Sherman for March 21, 2014 and How to Train Your Dragon 2 for June 20, 2014.

Teaser trailer and poster for Puss in Boots

DreamWorks Animation has released the teaser trailer and poster for the upcoming “Shrek” spin off Puss in Boots. The film is based on the popular character Puss voiced by Antonio Banderas and also features the voices of Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris. Puss in Boots hits conventional, 3D and IMAX 3D theaters on November 4, 2011.

Kung Fu Panda 2 and Puss in Boots in IMAX

DreamWorks Animation has announced that Kung Fu Panda 2 and Puss in Boots will both be released into IMAX theaters simultaneous with their conventional theater release.

Puss in Boots will have a two-week day-and-date release in IMAX theaters.

DreamWorks Animation Unveils 2009-2012 Slate

shrek-052809DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg will unveil the studio’s film slate through late 2012 later today at an investment community conference.  The slate includes five original projects and several franchise follow-ups.  All the films will be produced in 3-D.  Also to be announced is the casting of Robert Downey Jr. and Tina Fey in Oobermind.

For 2010, the studio has set the afforementioned original project Oobermind (November 5, 2010), as well as How to Train Your Dragon (March 26, 2010).  The fourth installment in the Shrek franchise (now called Shrek Forever After) has also been set for a 2010 release (May 21, 2010).

Meanwhile on June 3, 2011 the studio has set the sequel Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom with both Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman confirmed to be returning.  Then on November 4, 2011 The Guardians, based on a not-yet-published book series from William Joyoce, will hit theaters.
