DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg will unveil the studio’s film slate through late 2012 later today at an investment community conference. The slate includes five original projects and several franchise follow-ups. All the films will be produced in 3-D. Also to be announced is the casting of Robert Downey Jr. and Tina Fey in Oobermind.
For 2010, the studio has set the afforementioned original project Oobermind (November 5, 2010), as well as How to Train Your Dragon (March 26, 2010). The fourth installment in the Shrek franchise (now called Shrek Forever After) has also been set for a 2010 release (May 21, 2010).
Meanwhile on June 3, 2011 the studio has set the sequel Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom with both Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman confirmed to be returning. Then on November 4, 2011 The Guardians, based on a not-yet-published book series from William Joyoce, will hit theaters.
