Broadcast TV Ratings for Wednesday, January 17, 2007

American Idol nearly matches the ratings performance from the day before, ahead of last year’s first week numbers, to give Fox another huge ratings win last night. Fox drew more total households, viewers and adults 18-49 than the rest of the four networks combined.

Note: What follows are the ratings for all the programs that aired in primetime last night (as well as comparisons with previous episodes/weeks). Analysis of the ratings will be edited in later this evening.

Fox finished in first place for the evening with a 20.2/30 household rating, 36.87 million total viewers and a 15.4/36 rating among adults 18-49.
