The ABC daytime talk show had invited her to be a guest on the show this month, but Michelle requested to guest-host like Cindy McCain (wife of presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain) did in April of this year. Star Treki is still nearly a year away, but Paramount is apparently already looking to bring back writers for a follow-up:
“I can give you a spoiler about the Studio’s state of mind (not about the movie itself). The spoiler is that they already want to lock us down to write the sequel,” co-writer Roberto Orci revealed to TrekMovie. “Take that as you will.”
We already know that the main cast have options for two additional films, but this move allows Paramount to quickly move forward on more installments, so long as the film does well next summer.

Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Sony is moving forward with The Green Hornet. No story details have been revealed, save the basic Green Hornet angle and a director has yet to be selected. However, EW does note that the studio has pegged the film for June 25, 2010. That would put it three week’s after Marvel’s Thor and just one week after Toy Story 3.

The cast of The Simpsons has signed a four-year deal, ensuring that the long-running series will remain on the air through at least its 20th season.
Production was delayed for several months as the voice cast negotiated with 20th Century Fox TV for new contracts. Variety reports that the stars’ salaries has increased to about $400,000 an episode, up from around the mid-$300,000 range.
Most of the key cast returned to the cast over the weekend, so because of the late start 20 episodes of the show will be produced this year instead of the usual 22.
