USA Network today announces the January premiere dates for the new original series COMMON LAW on Thursday, January 26 at 10/9c and returning original favorites WHITE COLLAR on Tuesday, January 17 at 10/9c and ROYAL PAINS on Wednesday, January 18 at 10/9c.

After dominating the television landscape this summer with an impressive slate of top-rated and critically-acclaimed new and returning originals, USA Network today announced the season four pickup of 16 episodes of the hit original series White Collar. The series currently stars Matt Bomer (“In Time”), Tim DeKay (“Tell Me You Love Me”), Tiffani Thiessen (“What About Brian”), Willie Garson (“Sex and the City”), Sharif Atkins (“ER”), Marsha Thomason (“Lost”) and Hilarie Burton (“One Tree Hill”). The announcement, from USA Co-Presidents Jeff Wachtel and Chris McCumber, marks the network’s third series renewal this summer following a fifth season order of In Plain Sight and a second season order of SUITS.

USA Network’s VP of Program Research, Ted Linhart, revealed via Twitter that White Collar will return on Tuesday January 18 at 10:00 p.m. and Royal Pains on Thursday, January 20 at 9:00 p.m. The network also announced that the new series Fairly Legal will debut on Thursday, January 20 at 10:00 p.m.

4.7 million viewers for White Collar and 5.4 million viewers for Covert Affairs. Both shows were up from the week prior and that’s a season-high for White Collar:
Television’s most exciting night of television, USA’s Tuesday night block of WHITE COLLAR and COVERT AFFAIRS, aired last evening to fabulous numbers!
The season two summer finale of WHITE COLLAR garnered the best P25-54 and total viewers since the winter premiere…

Monk closed out its eight-season run with 9.4 million viewers tuning into its series finale on Friday night, becoming the most-watched basic cable original drama series telecast of all time in total viewers. The show also posted a very impressive 3.2 million viewers within the key A18-49 demographic. Here are some highlights from the press release:
- The finale delivered series high in P18-49 with 3.2 million beating the prior series high by +10% (This was the first time MONK surpassed the 3 million benchmark in this demo).
- MONK delivered 3.7 million P25-54 viewers beating the prior series high by +2%.
- The MONK finale now holds the title of USA’s top original series telecast of all time among total viewers, is #2 among P25-54 and #3 among P18-49.
- MONK easily topped everything on broadcast for the night in P2+, P18-49 and P25-54 based on fast nationals for broadcast.
- Among cable entertainment telecasts for 2009TD, the MONK finale on Live+Same is the #1 P25-54 scripted telecast on basic or pay cable, the #1 scripted telecast on ad-supported basic cable in total viewers and the #1 P18-49 scripted telecast on basic cable.
The fall finale of White Collar also hit series highs, delivering 5.55 million total viewers and 2.1 million A18-49.

USA is making a few changes to its January lineup. The network announced that White Collar will launch the second half of its first season on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 (moving from Friday night) while Burn Notice will resume its third season on Thursday, January 21st at 10:00 p.m. (same day and time).
