James Marsters, Stephanie Jacobsen and Naoko Mori have joined the cast of the Syfy pilot series Three Inches [Digital Spy]:
[Marsters] revealed on his Twitter feed that he will play Troy, the mysterious leader of a band of unlikely superheroes.

Syfy has greenlit Three Inches, a 90-minute pilot from writer Harley Peyton (“Twin Peaks”) ane executive producer Bob Cooper.
In Three Inches, professional daydreamer and underachiever, Walter, is struck by lightning, and develops a unique “super” power — the ability to move any object using just his mind… but only a distance of three inches. He’s soon recruited by a covert team of superheroes each gifted with their own extraordinarily ordinary abilities. Together, the unlikely band of heroes proves that “super” is simply a state of mind.
In other news, Syfy executive vice president of development Mark Stern said that the network has had discussions with Battlestar Galactica / Caprica creator Ronald Moore about another spinoff series which would return to the franchise’s space-opera roots:
