The Daily Show with Jon Stewart welcomes First Lady Michelle Obama for second guest appearance

First Lady Michelle Obama will appear as a guest for a second time on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” on Tuesday, May 29 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT, her first appearance since entering the White House. Mrs. Obama will discuss her first-ever book, AMERICAN GROWN: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America (May 29, 2012; Crown Publishers), which invites readers inside the White House Kitchen Garden and offers an unprecedented look at every season of the garden’s growth, from the first planting to the latest harvest. The First Lady also shares the inspiring stories of Americans from all walks of life who are actively engaged in community, school, and urban gardens across the country, and who have come together to build a healthier future for our nation’s children and families.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart announces week-long coverage from The 2012 Democratic National Convention

“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” is heading to Charlotte with 125+ stalwart staffers to cover its fourth Democratic National Convention and broadcast a week of shows. “The Daily Show’s” coverage of the 2012 DNC will be taped at ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center™ and air nightly at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT from Tuesday, September 4 through Friday, September 7.

“We are incredibly excited to spend a week in the beautiful city of Charlotte,” said Rory Albanese, Executive Producer, ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.’ “And to the good people of North Carolina, for their southern hospitality in hosting 125 smart-aleck New Yorkers, we offer in advance our thanks, but most of all, our apologies. Comedy Central sets 2012 midseason schedule

The weather may be getting chilly, but things are once again heating up at COMEDY CENTRAL! The network will premiere hot new series and specials as well as new seasons of network favorites throughout the cool months to come including: COMEDY CENTRAL’s “Indecision 2012″ revs up with the return of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and “The Colbert Report” (January 3); the series premiere of the sketch comedy “Key & Peele” (January 31); brand-new seasons of network hits “Tosh.0″ (season four premieres January 31) and “South Park” (season 16 premieres March 14); Russell Simmons and JB Smoove reunite for the stand-up series “Russell Simmons Presents The Ruckus” (January 26); Stand-Up Month returns in January and features stand-up premieres from Tom Papa, Kevin Hart, JB Smoove and John Mulaney, plus much more. Viewers are advised to stay indoors, hit the couch and turn to the all-comedy network for everything that’s to come this viewing season.
