Donald Trump has announced that he has ended his fake campaign to run for President. Trump began this fake campaign a few weeks ago when ratings for his NBC series The Celebrity Apprentice began to decline. With news that NBC has renewed the show — and would have aired it with or without him — Trump now has the go-ahead to end his fake campaign.
Trump’s poll numbers also collapsed in recent weeks after he got embarrassed by President Obama and comedian Seth Meyers at the White House Correspondence dinner. Trump went from leading the Republican field with 26% in April to a embarrassing fifth place 8% a month later. He would have gotten crushed by President Obama, regardless.
Trump never intended to run for President. Never. It was all an act.
The joke that is Trump can now continue next season on The Celebrity Apprentice.
