Update: Article and chart updated with final actual numbers.

A Nightmare on Elm Street opened to a solid $32.902 million, in line with expectations (even with horrible reviews–14% on Rotten Tomatoes) and similar to other horror remakes, although not as strong last last year’s Friday the 13th ($40.57M). Furry Vengeance was the only other new release this week and the film flopped in fifth place with just $6.628 million. Another notable observation for the weekend is that Clash of the Titans crossed the $150 million mark domestically ($153.911M cume). Click over the jump for the weekend chart.
