CBS orders two more cycles of Survivor to be broadcast in the 2012-13 season

CBS announced today a February premiere date for the next SURVIVOR and ordered two more editions of the series for broadcast during the 2012-2013 season. The broadcasts next season will mark the 25th and 26th editions of television’s longest-running hit reality competition series.

Emmy Award winner Jeff Probst will return as host and executive producer for all three upcoming cycles. Probst has hosted SURVIVOR since its inception in May 2000.

CBS renews Survivor for two more editions

CBS has ordered two more editions of SURVIVOR to be broadcast during the 2011-2012 season. These will mark the 23rd and 24th editions of television’s longest-running hit reality competition series.

Additionally, Emmy Award-winner Jeff Probst has signed a new agreement to continue as host and as an executive producer for the 23rd and 24th editions. Probst has hosted SURVIVOR since its inception.

CBS announces the 20 castaways for Survivor: Nicaragua

Twenty castaways will compete in a tribal battle of the ages on SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA, when the Emmy Award-winning series premieres on a new night, Wednesday, Sept. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Castaways this season include sports broadcaster/former NFL coach Jimmy Johnson.

CBS Renews Survivor For 21st and 22nd Editions; Amazing Race Renewed For 17th Edition

CBS has renewed both Survivor and The Amazing Race for additional seasons. Survivor has been given renewals for two more editions (its 21st and 22nd, respectively), while The Amazing Race has been renewed for a 17th edition.  Head on over the jump for the press release.

CBS Orders Two More Editions of Survivor

survivors18logo-022609CBS has ordered two more editions of its hit reality series Survivor to be broadcast during the 2009-2010 season.  They will mark the 19th and 20th editions of what is broadcast television’s longest-running reality competition series.  Jeff Probst will continue as a host.

“I am happy to be able produce two more editions of survivor for our loyal fans,” said Mark Burnett, Executive Producer of SURVIVOR. “Our show stands for high quality family entertainment and all of us on this team will continue to deliver on this promise.”

“We have a unique relationship with our audience,” said Jeff Probst, host of SURVIVOR. “They tell us what they like and we listen. It’s worked for 18 editions and we’re looking forward to delivering two more satisfying seasons!”
