IFC has released a new trailer for the upcoming James Gunn-directed dark comedy Super. The film stars Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page, Kevin Bacon and Liv Tyler and is scheduled to hit theaters on April 1, 2011.

One of the best parts of the Super Bowl are the commercials and sometimes the best commercials are the movie trailers. Super Bowl XLV featured several spots including: The Adjustment Bureau; Battle: Los Angeles; Captain America: The First Avenger; Cowboys & Aliens; Drive Angry; Fast Five; Just Go With It; Kung Fu Panda 2; Limitless; Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides; Rango; Rio; Super 8; Thor and Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Keeping with tradition, J.J. Abrams’ latest film Super 8 is veiled in secrecy. The Steven Spielberg-produced project is currently in post-production and the most concrete bit of information we have on it is that it’ll hit theaters on June 10, 2011. Paramount will debut a new teaser trailer during today’s Super Bowl and ahead of its release, an online advertisement has been uncovered.

J.J. Abrams’ super secretive sci-fi project Super 8, which is currently filming in West Virginia, has been given a June 10, 2011 release date by Paramount Pictures. Details on the project are scarce, but rumors suggest it has something to do with aliens.

Vulture is reporting that Kyle Chandler and Elle Fanning have joined the cast of the secretive J.J. Abrams-directed / Steven Spielberg-produced project Super 8.
There are no details with regards to what role the two will play in the film, which is expected to be released in theaters in summer 2011.

J.J. Abrams revealed that he’ll begin shooting Super 8 in September of this year. The secretive sci-fi project, produced by Steven Spielberg, will be released next summer. Little else is known about the project, but Abrams did say he wouldn’t be shooting it in 3D.

Paramount Pictures has moved Mission: Impossible IV to December 16, 2011. The film was originally scheduled to hit theaters in May. Paramount also officially announced that the secretive J.J. Abrams-directed / Steven Spielberg-produced Super 8.
M:I IV will be directed by Brad Bird, who will be making his live-action directorial debut.
