New companion unveiled for BBC America’s Doctor Who

Jenna-Louise Coleman has beaten hundreds of hopefuls to become the new companion to Doctor Who, it was announced today by Steven Moffat.

Twenty-five year old Jenna from Blackpool, England will star alongside the 11th Time Lord, Matt Smith, to mark the biggest year in the show’s history.

Third season of Sherlock confirmed

Sherlock co-creator Steven Moffat confirmed on Sunday that there will be a third season of the hit BBC original series:

Doctor Who season six premiere draws 6.52M viewers on BBC One

The sixth season premiere of “Doctor Who” averaged 6.52M viewers at 6PM. “The Impossible Astronaut” was down 1.2M viewers from last year’s premiere.

Doctor Who season six will be 13 episodes

The BBC has confirmed that the upcoming sixth season of Doctor Who will consist of 13 episodes, same as previous seasons. Also confirmed, Steven Moffat will write a total of six episodes for next season; five regular episodes plus the Christmas special.

Doctor Who season five debuts on BBC America this April
