Katee Sackhoff to voice “memorable character” in fourth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Star Wars: The Clone Wars supervising director Dave Filoni has confirmed that Katee Sackhoff will voice a character on the upcoming fourth season of the hit Cartoon Network series, telling Inside TV | EW it will be “a memorable character”:

Liam Neeson to voice Qui-Gon Jinn on Cartoon Network’s ‘The Clone Wars’

Liam Neeson will be reprising his “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace” role of Qui-Gon Jinn on Cartoon Network’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He’ll be voicing the character on the January 28 and February 11 episodes of the series.

Cable TV Ratings: Caprica Slide Continues; Spartacus Up Again + more

Bad news for Syfy’s Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica.  Week three of the series drew just 1.13 million viewers and a 0.4 A18-49 rating.  That was down a steep 20% from last week’s episode (1.41M viewers and a 0.5 A18-49 rating).  Caprica is down 29% from its series premiere (1.60 million viewers).

Also on Friday, the new Starz! series Spartacus: Blood and Sand increased in its third week to 858,000 viewers (+11%) and a 0.4 A18-49 rating (n/c).  The show is up 30% in viewers and 33% in A18-49 rating since its premiere (659,000 viewers and a 0.3 A18-49 rating).

Ratings for a few other cable shows on Friday night worth noting include Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network which drew 2.195 million viewers and a 0.5 A18-49 rating and Discovery’s Swamp Loggers which drew 1.49 million viewers and a 0.7 A18-49 rating.  More ratings highlights after the jump.

DVD Review: Star Wars: The Clone Wars – A Galaxy Divided

starwarsclonewarsagalaxydivideddvdcover-040509The ‘Clone Wars’ goes back to the original Star Wars film when Obi-Wan Kenobi tells Luke Skywalker that he was once a Jedi knight the same as your father and that they fought together in the Clone Wars. Since that moment fans have been obsessed with what the clone wars were. This new TV series takes place immediately after the events of Star Wars-Episode II: Attack of the Clones. The series follows Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice Anakin Skywalker and introduces us to some new characters such as Ahsoka Tano a girl Jedi knight as well as characters we already know.

Enhanced Episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Coming In May

starwarstheclonewars-040609The Cartoon Network today announced that it will premiere Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Decoded, a complete re-airing of 22 enhanced episodes from season one of the CG-animated series.  The enhanced episodes will use text windows to provide instant insights into all aspects of the series, from trivia to background on the characters and storylines.  The episodes begin running on May 1, 2009.
