Robert Zemeckis revealed to MTV that he has commissioned a script for a sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit and the original writers Jeffrey Price and Peter Seaman will be the ones writing it:

Who Framed Roger Rabbit was released more than 20 years ago and was a huge success for its backers, grossing nearly $330 million worldwide. Disney will debut footage from the 3D Robert Zemeckis feature A Christmas Carol at a press event at the Festival de Cannes on May 18. This will be the second Disney 3D film featured at the event, following the studio’s previous announcement that Pixar’s Up would open up the event (see related article).
