Box Office Mojo has updated their release schedule page. Universal Studios has set a July 29, 2011 release date for Cowboys & Aliens, which stars Daniel Craig and will be directed by Jon Favreau. Universal also announced that both Battleship and Stretch Armstrong have been moved out of 2011 and into 2012. Stretch Armstrong was originally scheduled to be released on April 15, 2011, but doesn’t have a date set yet while Peter Berg’s Battleship will now arrive in theaters on May 25, 2012.
Meanwhile, Sony/Screen Gems has announced new dates for several of their films, including a September 23, 2011 release date for Underworld 4. That film was originally scheduled to be released on January 21, 2011 and was reportedly going to be filmed in 3D, which is no longer the case. However, the studio has set a September 14, 2011 release date for Priest (originally scheduled to be released on August 20,2010) and also announced that the comic book adaptation will be released in 3D. Head on over the jump to see the rest of the new dates and changes.
