President Barack Obama delivered his State of the Union address. The address was carried live from 9:00PM to approximately 10:15 PM on 14 networks. The sum of average audience for those networks was 37,752,613 viewers, with a combined household rating of 24.0. The networks carrying the address were ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, CNBC, CNN, FBN, FOXNC, GALA, MSNBC, MUN2 and on tape delay on TEL, TF and UNI.

President Barack Obama’s guest appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Tuesday night gave the show a big boost. The show drew a 4.1 meter-market household rating, which was the show’s largest audience since March 2, 2010. It was also up by more than 50% over the current season average.

CBS News will conduct a special town hall meeting on the economy with President Barack Obama on Wednesday, May 11. CBS News’ FACE THE NATION anchor Bob Schieffer and THE EARLY SHOW co-anchor Erica Hill will join the president before a live audience at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. CBS News Business and Economics Correspondent Rebecca Jarvis will facilitate questions from a nationwide online audience via a special partnership with YouTube. President Obama’s late-night speech to the nation announcing the death of terrorist Osama bin Laden was watched by 56.7M viewers across 11 networks, Nielsen reports.
It is now President Obama’s most-watched speech of his presidency to date.
The 9-minute announcement was shown on ABC, CBS, NBC, Telemundo, Univision, CNN, Centric, CNBC, FNC, HLN and MSNBC.

Nielsen has announced that President Barack Obama’s address at the Tucson Memorial averaged 30,773,369 viewers and a combined HH rating/share of 19.4/31 on seven networks: ABC; CBS; FOX; NBC; CNN; FOX News and MSNBC. The address was carried live from approximately 8:45-9:15 PM.

An average of 6.59 million viewers watched President Obama’s appearance on The View Thursday. The telecast marked the first such time a sitting President has ever visited a daytime talk show and was the most-watched episode in series history.

President Barack Obama will make history on Thursday when he becomes the first sitting president to visit a daytime talk show. The President will tape his appearance for The View on Wednesday and the show will air on Thursday:
“We are so pleased and honored that President Obama will be a guest on ‘The View,'” creator and executive producer Barbara Walters says. “The president last appeared on the program in March 2008 while he was still a senator, and First Lady Michelle Obama was a featured guest co-host in June 2008. This shows that both the president and first lady feel that our show is an influential and important source of information and news.”
Thursday’s show will also mark the in-studio return of Barbara Walters who has been out since she underwent heart valve replacement surgery in May.

President Obama’s live prime time speech announcing an additional 30,000 troops and a new strategy for the war in Afghanistan drew 40.77 million viewers or a 25.9/44 HH rating/share.
The speech is the third most-watched speech/press conference since the President took office and 27% above the President’s most recent prime time address (32.11 million viewers (20.6/35 HH rating/share) for his 9/9/2009 Address to a Joint Session of Congress which was focused on Health Care reform).
