Nicolas Cage’s near-perfect 9.0 graded copy of Action Comics #1 — which features the first appearance of Superman — sold at an auction for a record-breaking $2.16M. The 1938 comic beats the previous record of $1.5M set in March 2010, but that comic was graded 8.5.
