Louie, the new comedy series from writer/director/star Louis C.K., premieres tonight on FX. I’ve watched the first couple episodes and it’s pretty good. C.K. is an amazing stand-up comedian, but he hasn’t been all that successful on the TV screen (although his recent guest starring role on NBC’s Parks and Recreation was terrific).

Louie blends some stand-up into the plot — ala Seinfeld — and they’re probably my favorite parts of the show to be honest.  It’s a little dark and the acting and quirky feel may take some getting used to, but overall it’s an entertaining half-hour comedy. Check it out tonight with two-back-to-back episodes — “Pilot” and “Poker Divorce” — on FX at 11:00 and 11:00 p.m.

Below the fold you’ll find 22 high-resolution images (plus the logo shown above) along with two clips.
