New Photos: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2

The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly features The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 and EW has released eight new photos  plus two cover art shots. The new photos give us our first look at Mackenzie Foy (Renesmee) and Myanna Buring and Judith Shekoni (of the Amazon coven) along with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning, Cameron Bright, Kellan Lutz, Casey Labow, Myanna Buring, Christian Camargo, Mia Maestro. Check out the photos after the jump.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on November 16, 2012.

Lionsgate announced The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be released in IMAX November 22, 2013 with feature sequences filmed with IMAX cameras

IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX; TSX:IMX) and Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF), a leading diversified global entertainment company, today announced that The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the second film in the wildly popular franchise, will be released in the immersive IMAX® format on November 22, 2013.

Lionsgate delaying Dirty Dancing reboot

Lionsgate won’t be releasing the Dirty Dancing reboot in July 2013 as previously expected, opting to postpone the project until at least 2014. According to Deadline, casting is to blame for the delay:

Dredd: First poster + Two new images

The first poster and two new photos from Pete Travis’ Dredd have been released online courtesy JoBlo. Click over the jump to see the poster and photos in full and high resolution.

Lionsgate to reboot Leprechaun

Variety is reporting that Lionsgate has partnered with WWE Studios for a two-film deal, and the first project will be a reboot of the 1993 horror film Leprechaun.  The project does not yet have a writer, director or cast attached, but the studio has set release for 2013.

Dr. Suess’ The Lorax delivers year’s biggest opening weekend with $70.7M; Project X has solid $20.8M debut

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax exceeded all expectations and opened with an estimated $70.7M from 3,729 theaters, delivering the year’s biggest opening weekend. The project opened on Friday to an estimated $17.4M, but exploded to an estimated $31.3M on Saturday (+80%). Universal is projecting a 30% dip on Sunday to $22.0M.

Warner Brothers has pulled the Sylvester Stallone-starrer Bullet To The Head from its schedule. The Walter Hill-directed action film, based on the French graphic novel “Bullet”, was scheduled to be released on April 13, 2012.
