Tosh.0 season premiere pulls in 3.1M total viewers; New series Key & Peele debuts to 2.1M total viewers.

No translators needed to understand these numbers. On the night he announced the Tosh Tour Twenty Twelve, Daniel Tosh returned to COMEDY CENTRAL for the 4th Season Premiere of “Tosh.0” and recorded the series’ biggest premiere among young men, dominating the night across all of television. Immediately following “Tosh,” new sketch series “Key & Peele” provided the all-comedy channel with its biggest series launch since 2009.

“Tosh.0” drew 3.1 million total viewers to its season premiere, along with a 2.3 adult 18-49 rating, 4.1 men 18-34 rating and a 4.6 men 18-24 rating. A huge hit with young men, “Tosh.0” was the #1 series in Prime on Tuesday night across all of television with men 18-34 and men 18-24, scoring the best rating among men 18-24 for any of the series’ season premieres.

Scoring COMEDY CENTRAL’s best launch since 2009, “Key & Peele” drew 2.1 million total viewers to its series premiere and also resonated among young men, earning a 2.6 men 18-34 rating and a 3.3 men 18-24 rating to finish as #1 in its timeslot with both demographics across all of television. For the night, the inaugural episode of the new hit series finished behind only “Tosh.0” in all of television for Tuesday Prime among men 18-24. In addition, #KeyAndPeele was the #1 trending topic on Twitter during its premiere play.

Comedy Central sets 2012 midseason schedule

The weather may be getting chilly, but things are once again heating up at COMEDY CENTRAL! The network will premiere hot new series and specials as well as new seasons of network favorites throughout the cool months to come including: COMEDY CENTRAL’s “Indecision 2012” revs up with the return of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and “The Colbert Report” (January 3); the series premiere of the sketch comedy “Key & Peele” (January 31); brand-new seasons of network hits “Tosh.0” (season four premieres January 31) and “South Park” (season 16 premieres March 14); Russell Simmons and JB Smoove reunite for the stand-up series “Russell Simmons Presents The Ruckus” (January 26); Stand-Up Month returns in January and features stand-up premieres from Tom Papa, Kevin Hart, JB Smoove and John Mulaney, plus much more. Viewers are advised to stay indoors, hit the couch and turn to the all-comedy network for everything that’s to come this viewing season.
