Fans of the new hit SHOWTIME® comedy series HOUSE OF LIES can now enjoy a behind the scenes look at what goes on at the Galweather & Stearn offices when the hot, young team of consultants is away from their clients. The team typically spends four days a week on the road, working hard and playing even harder. But, on Fridays, the real fun begins… This is the story of what happens on the fifth day. The “Fridays at Galweather” webisodes were written by Emmy® Award-winning series star Ben Schwartz and series co-producer Wes Nickerson, and directed by Emmy Award-winning series star Glynn Turman (“The Wire”).

Casting Bites: Christian Bale Joining The Fighter, Zack Snyder Replaces Two For Sucker Punch!, Marlon Wayans Gets Biblical + more

christianbale-042109Here are some of the latest television and film casting bites:

  • Christan Bale is joining Mark Wahlberg for The Fighter.  The project also has a new director in David O. Russell (replacing Darren Aronofsky who was originally tapped to direct).  Here are how the two actors roles are described: “Wahlberg will play Ward, a fighter who was losing bouts and was ready to hang up the gloves when his brother came back into his life. Bale will play Eklund, whose drugs and robbery spree drew him a 10- to 15-year sentence in state prison. There, he kicked drugs, became a model prisoner and emerged as a changed man who helped his brother reach the glory that eluded him.” [Variety]
  • Jamie Chung and Jena Malone have been added to the cast of Zack Snyder’s all-female action fantasy flick Sucker Punch!.  Both actresses replace two others who had to drop out: Chung replacing Emma Stone will play Amber, a character described as a country girl with a big heart, while Malone will be taking over Evan Rachel Wood’s role playing the younger sister of fellow co-star Abbie Cornish. [THR]
  • Demetri Martin has been cast opposite Brad Pitt in Moneyball, a pro baseball drama from director Steven Soderbergh.  Martin is playing Paul DePodesta, a Harvard graduate who is into stats and probabilities and helps out Beane (Pitt) develop his system. [THR]
