Saturday afternoon’s Rally to Restore Sanity And/Or Fear in Washington D.C., co-hosted by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, drew 2 million viewers (1.1M of which were within the key A18-49 demographic) live on Comedy Central from 12:00-3:00 p.m., quadrupling Comedy Central’s average delivery during that time period.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert extend contracts with Comedy Central

Comedy Central has announced that Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have both received contract extensions which will keep them with the network through 2012. Stewart’s extension will keep as host of The Daily Show through June 2013. Colbert’s extension will keep him as the host of The Colbert Report through the end of 2012.

Daily Show Gets Boost with Cramer Appearance

Thursday’s episode of The Daily Show With Jon Stewart, featuring the highly anticipated interview with CNBC’s Jim Cramer, drew the show’s second largest audience of the year.  An average audience of 2.3 million viewers tuned in, ranking second only to January’s inauguration day episode, which delivered 2.6 million viewers.
