Paramount Pictures has made the trailer for the upcoming J.J. Abrams-directed / Steven Spielberg-produced secret project Super 8 available online. Check it out after the jump.

Mission: Impossible IV set for December 16, 2011

Paramount Pictures has moved Mission: Impossible IV to December 16, 2011. The film was originally scheduled to hit theaters in May.  Paramount also officially announced that the secretive J.J. Abrams-directed / Steven Spielberg-produced Super 8.

M:I IV will be directed by Brad Bird, who will be making his live-action directorial debut.

NBC picks up Undercovers, from J.J. Abrams and Josh Reims, for 2010-11 season

NBC has picked up Undercovers, from J.J. Abrams and Josh Reims.  The pickup is the network’s first new scripted series for 2010-11.

“We have tremendous confidence in this promising series and feel this is a great way to kick off our upcoming Upfront development announcements,” said Jeff Gaspin, Chairman, NBC Universal Television Entertainment. “J.J. has delivered another signature series, along with our partners at Warner Bros., and we couldn’t be happier.”

“Having J.J. on our creative team is a great reason for celebration,” said Bromstad. “In ‘Undercovers,’ J.J. and Josh have found a breakout couple that is rich in character and brimming with romance and action. We feel he’s found the perfect cast.”
