WWII in HD returns to History in November

HISTORY is announcing today the latest installment of its visually astonishing Emmy(R) award-winning series. WWII in HD: The Air War premiering on HISTORY on Wednesday, November 10 at 9pm EST presents the untold story of the American 8th Air Force’s bloody battle to defeat the German Luftwaffe in the months leading up to D-Day.

IRT Deadliest Roads premieres with 3.4M viewers

HISTORY® continues its phenomenal ratings success as IRT: Deadliest Roads premiere comes screeching out of the gate, attracting 3.4 million total viewers, as well as 1.8 million Adults 18-49 and 2.1 million Adults 25-54 (History’s second-best series launch ever in A25-54 after the recently launched Swamp People).

And Ice Road Truckers Season Four Finale garners double digit growth (vs. Season Three Finale) in Adults 18-49 (+15%) and Adults 25-54 (+13%). As well, 3.2 million total viewers tuned in (+4%).

America, The Story of Us watched by 5.7M viewers; Breaks History Channel records

The first night of America, The Story of Us was watched by 5.7 million total viewers and drew a 4.0 household rating, becoming the most watched special in network history. The 8-11:00 p.m. primetime lineup on History will go down as History’s best night ever across the board.

AMERICA, THE STORY OF US – 9-11PM

HH Rating: 4.0

Total Viewers: 5.7 million

A18-49: 2.6 million

A25-54: 2.7 million

M18-49: 1.6 million

M25-54: 1.6 million

The six-episode/12-hour event continues this Sunday at 9:00 p.m., with new episodes following every Sunday at 9:00 p.m., culminating with the final night on on Memorial Day 9pm ET. Click over the jump for the complete press release.

Cable TV Ratings: Caprica Slide Continues; Spartacus Up Again + more

Bad news for Syfy’s Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica.  Week three of the series drew just 1.13 million viewers and a 0.4 A18-49 rating.  That was down a steep 20% from last week’s episode (1.41M viewers and a 0.5 A18-49 rating).  Caprica is down 29% from its series premiere (1.60 million viewers).

Also on Friday, the new Starz! series Spartacus: Blood and Sand increased in its third week to 858,000 viewers (+11%) and a 0.4 A18-49 rating (n/c).  The show is up 30% in viewers and 33% in A18-49 rating since its premiere (659,000 viewers and a 0.3 A18-49 rating).

Ratings for a few other cable shows on Friday night worth noting include Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network which drew 2.195 million viewers and a 0.5 A18-49 rating and Discovery’s Swamp Loggers which drew 1.49 million viewers and a 0.7 A18-49 rating.  More ratings highlights after the jump.
