The NBC drama Harry’s Law has been canceled. Star Kathy Bates confirmed the news via her Twitter account:
Yea, Tweeters. Sad news today. Harry’s Law will not be renewed for a 3rd season. We are all terribly sad. Many thanks for all your support.

NBC […] announced its new mid-season 2012 schedule which features the premieres of four new series in “Smash” (February 6), “The Firm” (two-hour premiere January 8, time slot premiere January 12), “Fashion Star” (March 13) and “Are You There, Chelsea?” (January 11). The new lineup also includes the return of “The Voice,” “30 Rock,” “The Celebrity Apprentice” and “Who Do You Think You Are?”
In addition, there are day and time period changes for “Whitney,” “Up All Night,” “Rock Center with Brian Williams” and “Harry’s Law.”

NBC has ordered 6 additional scripts for older-skewing dramedy Harry’s Law. The second-year show currently has a 13-episode order.
Last week’s episode drew a solid 8.45M viewers, but a dismal 1.2 rating among the key A18-49 demographic. That’s a very, very weak number and despite the additional script order, one would assume NBC wants […]

NBC announced today the premieres of its new Fall 2011 primetime schedule beginning Tuesday, September 13 with new episodes of “Parenthood” — following the final performance episode of “America’s Got Talent” — and continuing the week of September 19 with the Monday debuts of “The Sing-Off” and new drama “The Playboy Club” on that date

NBC has reportedly renewed Parenthood and Harry’s Law. Renewals were mostly expected for both shows. It’s good news for David E. Kelley, whose Wonder Woman, at the moment at least, is expected to be passed over by NBC.
