Comic-Con 2010: Glee to do ‘Rocky Horror’ episode

It was announced during the Sunday panel for Fox’s Glee that the show will be doing a “Rocky Horror Picture Show” episode for season two. Co-creator Ryan Murphy also said that they are planning a big tribute for the Super Bowl episode but couldn’t reveal what exactly because the deal hasn’t closed yet:

FOX’s Glee renewed through season three

The first season finale hasn’t even aired yet — Tuesday, June 8 (8:59-10:00 PM ET/PT) —  but FOX has gone ahead and renewed Glee for a third season.

Before even finishing its first season, the genre-defying, award-winning, underdog comedy GLEE has been picked up through its third season, it was announced today by Peter Rice, Chairman, Entertainment, Fox Networks Group; and Kevin Reilly, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

“In just one year, GLEE has transcended the television landscape and emerged as a global pop culture phenomenon,” said Peter Rice, Chairman, Entertainment, Fox Networks Group. “We are incredibly proud to have talent like Ryan Murphy and the GLEE cast in our FOX family, and we can’t wait to see where Ryan takes the show in Seasons Two and Three.”

Fox summer schedule: Lie to Me, The Good Guys, SYTYCD, Past Life + more

Fox is moving Lie to Me to the summer and pairing it with the new drama The Good Guys on Monday’s beginning June 7th.  12 episodes of Lie to Me remain to be aired.  Meanwhile, Fox will burn off remaining episodes of the recently canceled drama Past Life starting on Friday May 28th and continuing through June 11th (four episodes total including two on the 28th).  Also set to premiere this summer is the new comedy Sons of Tucson. That will kick off starting Sunday, June 6th.

The new season of So You Think You Can Dance will premiere on Thursday, May 27th, followed  followed two weeks later on June 10th by the  season premiere of Hell’s Kitchen.

On the season finale front, Glee will conclude its freshman year on Tuesday, June 1st.

FOX Renews Glee for Second Season

FOX has given an early second season renewal to the freshman dramedy Glee:

“We’ve loved ‘Glee’ ever since it was a pilot script, so it’s been an incredible thrill to watch the show take root and see audiences embrace these characters in such a huge way this season,” Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly said. “The show is a true and rare gem in television.”
