Game of Thrones hits new ratings high

Episode 8 of the new HBO series Game of Thrones hit a new series high Sunday night, drawing a record 2.715M viewers and a 1.2 A18-49 rating.

Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9PM on HBO.

Game of Thrones up slightly to new series high

HBO’s Game of Thrones inched up slightly for its fourth episode, representing a new high for the acclaimed drama series. The episode, titled “Cripples, Bastards, and Broken Things”, drew 2.451M viewers and a 1.1 A18-49 rating. That was an increase of 13,000 viewers / 1% from the previous episode (nc in A18-49 rating).

HBO’s Game of Thrones hits series high with 3rd episode

The third episode of the HBO series Game of Thrones drew a series high 2.438M viewers (with a 1.5/2 HH rating/share) and a 1.1/3 A18-49 rating/share Sunday night. That’s an increase of 11% — or 236,000 — among viewers and 10% among adults 18-49 from the week prior.

Game of Thrones premieres to 2.2M viewers; HBO renews series for second season

Following strong critical and viewer response to the series’ April 17 debut, HBO has renewed GAME OF THRONES for a second season, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming.

“We are delighted by the way David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have brought George R.R. Martin’s amazing book series to the screen, and thrilled by the support of the media and our viewers,” said Lombardo. “This is the continuation of an exciting creative partnership.”

Based on the bestselling fantasy book series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” by George R.R. Martin, GAME OF THRONES follows kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars and noblemen as they vie for power in a land where summers span decades and winters can last a lifetime.

The series premiere drew 2.2M viewers (with a 0.9 A18-49 rating) in its initial broadcast and drew a cumulative audience of 4.2M viewers when factoring in additional airings Sunday night.

HBO presents the 15-minute Game of Thrones exclusive preview April 3

HBO will present – for the first time – a sneak peek of the first 15 minutes of the first episode of a new series when GAME OF THRONES EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW debuts SUNDAY, APRIL 3 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Following this one-time-only play, GAME OF THRONES EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW will be available immediately on hbo.com and HBO Go, and will be available on HBO On Demand beginning Monday, April 4.

HBO has announced that Game of Thrones, based on the popular George R.R. Martin book series “A Song of Ice and Fire”, will premiere on April 17, 2011.

The ensemble cast includes Mark Addy, Sean Bean, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Fairley, Lena Headey, Kit Harington and Aidan Gillen.
