Yesterday’s highly anticipated 2010 FIFA World Cup™ match-up between Mexico and Argentina delivered the highest viewership ever for Univision, attracting over 9.3 million Total Viewers 2+ (9,362,938) who watched the event. The match exceeded the performance of all previous programs in the network’s history, regardless of genre, and is the single most watched telecast in the history of Spanish-language television in the United States. Univision’s broadcast of Mexico vs. Argentina also registered impressive audience levels across all key demos, attracting over 5.5 million Adults 18-49 (5,589,239), over 3.3 million Adults 18-34 (3,318,956) and more than 4 million Persons 12-34 (4,192,631).
