Neal Moritz: Sam Mendes no longer directing Preacher + Update on Escape from New York remake

Preacher producer Neal Mortiz revealed that that director Sam Mendes is off the project (due to his commitment with the next “James Bond” film) and they’re currently talking to a new director (but he wouldn’t say who).  Moritz also noted that he expects the film to start shooting sometime in 2011 and that it will definitely be rated R.
