Emma Stone offered Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Emma Stone has been offered the role of Elizabeth Bennet in Craig Gillespie’s adaptation of the Seth Grahame-Smith novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Grahame-Smith is writing the script with Marti Noxon.

Spider-Man reboot gets title: The Amazing Spider-Man + New photo

Columbia Pictures has announced that the upcoming “Spider-Man” reboot will be titled The Amazing Spider-Man and will be shot in 3D. Sony has also released a new photo of Andrew Garfield in his full Spider-Man costume.

The Amazing Spider-Man hits conventional and 3D theaters on May 3, 2012. Garfield will be joined on screen by Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and Sally Field.

Rhys Ifans cast as the villain in Marc Webb’s Spider-Man

Rhys Ifans will play the villain, opposite Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, in the next installment of Spider-Man from Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios, it was announced today by Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and Matt Tolmach, president of Columbia Pictures.

Marc Webb is scheduled to begin filming Spider-Man (2012) this December from a screenplay written by James Vanderbilt and the film will be released in conventional and 3D theaters on July 3, 2012.

Emma Stone cast in Spider-Man reboot…as Gwen Stacy

The recent report that had Emma Stone (“Easy A”, “Zombieland”)¬†being cast as Mary Jane Watson in Marc Webb’s Spider-Man reboot was¬†partially correct.

Today Sony confirmed that the actress has been cast as the female lead in the film, but Stone will be playing Peter Parker’s first love interest Gwen Stacy, not Mary Jane Watson:

Emma Stone has been cast as the female lead in the upcoming Spider-Man film from Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios, it was announced today by Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and Matt Tolmach, president of Columbia Pictures.
