NBC’s 2009/2010 slate of programming includes nine new shows. The network picked up four dramas, two comedies and two alternative/reality series: 100 Questions, Day One, Mercy, Trauma, Community, Parenthood, The Jay Leno Show and The Marriage Ref.
The network also officially renewed Chuck which will remain on Monday nights. In cancellation news, comedy My Name Is Earl won’t be coming back (although producer 20th Century Fox TV is said to be shopping it to other networks) and Medium won’t be coming back to the network’s lineup. Apparently NBC was only willing to order 13 episodes while producer CBS-Paramount wanted 22. That gave CBS the opportunity to swoop in and pick up the show.
