IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX; TSX:IMX) and Twentieth Century Fox today announced that Prometheus, the summer’s scariest action event picture and director Ridley Scott’s return to the genre he helped define, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX® 3D format and released in IMAX® digital and film theatres domestically and in a select number of IMAX theatres internationally, starting June 8, 2012.
In other news, WonderCon has announced that on Saturday, March 17 at 4 p.m. PST / 7 p.m. EST, director Ridley Scott will premiere the first full trailer for the film.

During the panel “Totally Lost: One Year Later” Lost creators Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse presented to the audience a deleted scene code named “The Marble Rye” that was supposedly filmed during season one.
It’s all a joke, of course, but still fun to see. Plus they got Mark Pellegrino and Titus Welliver to reprise their roles as Jacob and the Man in Black. Watch the clip after the jump.

Logan Marshall-Green has been cast as a love interest t oNoomi Rapace’s character in the Ridley Scott-directed / Damon Lindelof-scripted Prometheus.
Marshall-Green joins previously cast Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris and Kate Dickie in the sci-fi project (originally a prequel to “Aliens”, but now an original film based on the franchise).
20th Century Fox has confirmed that Charlize Theron has been cast in Ridley Scott’s original sci-fi project Prometheus. The project, which was formerly set up as a prequel to “Alien”, is being written by Damon Lindelof with help from Scott. The original script was written by Jon Spaihts.
