Comedy Central renews Workaholics for a second season

COMEDY CENTRAL has enabled the boys of “Workaholics” by picking up a second season, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, head of original programming and production COMEDY CENTRAL. Mail Order Comedy’s Blake Anderson, Adam Devine, Anders Holm and Kyle Newacheck go back to work and start production on 10 new episodes of the series that has been #1 in its timeslot in all of television among young men over the course of its first season, which premiered on April 6.

Official: Comedy Central renews Futurama for seventh season

This was reported a few days ago, but Comedy Central has now confirmed that they’ve renewed the animated comedy Futurama for 26 episodes (or two half-seasons). The full press release is included after the jump.

Comedy Central renews Futurama for two seasons/26 episodes

Great news Futurama fans! Deadline is reporting that Comedy Central has renewed the animated comedy series for two additional seasons at 13 episodes each for 26 episodes total (airing in 2012 and 2013).

The first 13 episodes from season six have already aired, with a new batch of 13 episodes set to premiere this summer.

Tosh.0 draws series high 3.6M viewers for its third season premiere

“Tosh.0” returned for its third season on a new night and a new time (Tuesday at 10:00 p.m.) and continued on its torrid ratings streak, drawing 3.6 million Total Viewers to set a new series-high by +33%, eclipsing its prior high of 2.7 million Total Viewers (July 28, 2010). The red-hot “Tosh” also set series-high benchmarks among Persons 18-49 and Men 18-34. The remarkable performance by “Tosh.0,” which moved to Tuesday nights from its previous home on Wednesdays, lifted COMEDY CENTRAL to its highest-rated and most-watched Tuesday Prime ever with P18-49, P18-34 and M18-34.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert extend contracts with Comedy Central

Comedy Central has announced that Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have both received contract extensions which will keep them with the network through 2012. Stewart’s extension will keep as host of The Daily Show through June 2013. Colbert’s extension will keep him as the host of The Colbert Report through the end of 2012.
