NBC’s Angela Bromstad talks Heroes, Chuck + more

Angela Bromstad, NBC’s president of primetime entertainment, chatted with THR’s James Hibberd about some of the “on-the-bubble” shows including Heroes and Chuck.  Here’s the relevant excerpt:

THR: Let’s run down some of the bubble shows. “Heroes”?

Bromstad: We met with (“Heroes” creator) Tim Kring (last week) and talked about a lot of things. It’s a wait-and-see for us.

THR: If “Heroes” does come back, is there a chance of it being announced as a final season?

Bromstad: We’re going to cross that bridge when we come to it.

THR: “Chuck” — a bit surprising on Mondays?

Bromstad: Pleasant surprise, and they’re doing great work.

THR: So fans presumably won’t have to buy Subway sandwiches again this year?

Bromstad: Well, it’s got to maintain, and it depends on development.

Bromstad even discussed the possibility of NBC picking up 24 should Fox decide against renewing it.  Head on over the jump to read her reaction to that possibility.

Fox Pushes Up Return of House

Fox has pushed up the release of House by two weeks. The next original episode will now premiere on January 11, 2010, much to the dismay — I’m sure — of NBC which previously announced that Chuck will make its Monday premiere on the same day (following its two-hour season premiere the day prior).
