Fox announced their programming slate for the 2009-2010 season this morning. The network picked up four new comedies (Brothers, The Cleveland Show, Glee and Sons of Tucson), two new dramas (Human Target and Past Life) and one late-night show (The Wanda Sykes Show–working title). Jonny Ferraro, creator of the American Gladiators TV franchise, is working on a live-action adaptation of the property for the big-screen: “I look forward to creating a compelling story that launches a whole new set of characters,” Producer Scott Mednick said. [Variety]
Warner Home Videos has announced a 1-disc DVD, and 2-disc DVD and Blu-ray Director’s Cut’s of Watchmen for release on July 21st. The director’s cut will feature 25 minutes of additional footage. More details at DVD Active.

First we heard news that Brett Ratner had dropped out as director of Conan due to scheduling conflicts, then CHUD reported that James McTeigue may be in line for the directing duties, now comes additional news that Lionsgate is interested in three different choices: Christopher Gans, Neil Marshall and Marcus Nispel.
