A&E’s Longmire debuts as the network’s #1 original series premiere of all time with 4.1 million total viewers

A&E’s new scripted drama series “Longmire” set ratings records for the network with the series premiere on Sunday, June 3 at 10:00PM ET/PT, becoming the network’s most watched original series launch of all time with 4.1 million total viewers. “Longmire” launched as cable’s top new scripted drama of 2012 among total viewers and adults 25-54 with 1.4 million in the demo tuning in.

Season finale of A&E’s Duck Dynasty draws series-high 2.6M total viewers

[Wednesday] night’s season finale of A&E’s newest hit series “Duck Dynasty” drew record ratings for the series with back-to-back episodes at 10PM and 10:30PM ET/PT. The 10:30PM episode of “Duck Dynasty” hit a series high of 2.6 million total viewers and 1.5 million in both adults 25-54 and 18-49 demos.

Deadline is reporting that A&E has canceled the second-year drama series Breakout Kings:

The series was co-created/executive produced by Matt Olmstead and Nick Santora. Olmstead just signed up for a new gig, running the new NBC drama series Chicago Fire.

A&E Network renews Beyond Scared Straight for a third season

A&E Network has picked up a third season of the acclaimed real-life series “Beyond Scared Straight,” following prison and jail deterrence programs aimed at helping at-risk teens, it was announced today by David McKillop, Executive Vice President, Programming, A&E Network. “Beyond Scared Straight” is inspired by “Scared Straight!,” the Academy Award and multiple Emmy-winning documentary film by Arnold Shapiro.

Stephen King’s Bag of Bones 4-hour miniseries premieres Sunday, December 11 on A&E

A&E Network presents “Stephen King’s Bag of Bones,” a four-hour epic miniseries based on The New York Times #1 bestselling novel, and featuring Pierce Brosnan’s return to television. A&E has announced that they’re renewing the drama series The Glades for a third season. The new season will premiere next summer.

[Thursday night’s] episode of A&E’s hit real-life series “Storage Wars” drew record ratings for the network with back-to-back episodes at 10pm and 10:30pm. The 10:30 episode of “Storage Wars” hit a series high of 5.3 million viewers making it the series’ most watched episode and the network’s #1 original series telecast of all time.

Gene Simmons Family Jewels season six finale averages series best 3 million viewers

Last night’s season finale cliffhanger of the A&E hit series “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” set ratings records for the longest running celebrity family show on television. Gene Simmons’ marriage proposal to Shannon Tweed became the franchise’s most-watched telecast of all time among the key adults 18-49 and 25-54 demographics with 1.7 million and 1.9 million viewers respectively, as well as the most-watched telecast in ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels’ history with 3 million total viewers.

A&E greenlights Stephen King’s Bag of Bones miniseries; Pierce Brosnan to star

A&E has greenlit a miniseries based on Stephen King’s Bag of Bones. The two-night, four-hour mini-series will star Pierce Brosnan with Annabeth Gish co-starring and Kelly Rowland in talks to join the cast.

The season two premiere of A&E’s hit real-life series “Storage Wars” set ratings records for the network with back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, July 20 at 10:00PM and 10:30PM. The 10:30 episode became the network’s most-watched telecast of all time among the key adults 18-49 and 25-54 demographics with 2.9 million viewers in each demo, as well as the most-watched series telecast of all time with 5.1 million total viewers. The full hour of back-to-back episodes became A&E’s #1 season-opening performance for any series in the history of the network.

A&E renews Breakout Kings for second season

Deadline is reporting that A&E has renewed the drama series Breakout Kings for a second season. The show’s second season, which stars Laz Alonso and Domenick Lombardozzi, could return as early as the first quarter of 2012 with production scheduled to get underway later this year.
