As previously announced, and now confirmed, Warner Brothers will spool a 6-minute prologue of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises in front of select IMAX screenings of Paramount Pictures’ Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” on December 16, 2011. The list of participating theaters has now been revealed.
The prologue will not screen in front of digital IMAX or conventional 32mm presentations. If you want to see the prologue, you’ll have to attend one of the participating theaters that will show the film in the large-format 70mm. Check out the list over the jump.
The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled to hit conventional and IMAX theaters on July 20, 2012.

Nicolas Cage’s near-perfect 9.0 graded copy of Action Comics #1 — which features the first appearance of Superman — sold at an auction for a record-breaking $2.16M.
The 1938 comic beats the previous record of $1.5M set in March 2010, but that comic was graded 8.5.

The BBC has confirmed that Ben Whishaw will portray Q in Sam Mendes’ Bond film Skyfall.
Skyfall will be release on November 9, 2012.

Regis’ last day capped a 6-week growth trend for Live With Regis & Kelly, delivering a 7.3 HH rating in an average of all 56 metered markets.
This is more than twice the delivery of the show in last year’s Nov 2010 sweep (2.9).

We already know that ‘Tinin’ producer Peter Jackson was expected to direct the film’s follow-up, but now we have confirmation that Jackson will make the sequel his next project after he finishes “The Hobbit”.
The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn opens domestically on December 21, 2011.
