Showtime has given a third season renewal to the critically-acclaimed sketch comedy series Tracey Ullman State of the Union. The network ordered seven new episodes of the series, with production set to begin this fall for a premiere in 2010. The full press release follows after the jump.

Showtime is developing a character-driven sci-fi-themed drama called Syns (formerly Dolls’ Hospital) from Jericho consulting producer John McNamara and Supernatural supervising producer/writer Sera Gamble.
