2009 MTV Movie Awards Nominations Announced

2009mtvmovieawards-050409MTV has announced the nominations for the 2009 MTV Movie AwardsTwilight and Slumdog Millionaire lead the field of nominees with seven and six nominations, respectively, followed by High School Musical 3: Senior Year with five, The Dark Knight with four and Wanted with 3. MTV Orders More Episodes of The Hills + Announces New And Returning Shows

As part of its upfront announcements to advertisers yesterday, MTV said that they will be continuing the docusoap without 23-year-old star Lauren Conrad.  Instead, the network will build a new storyline around newlyweds Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag.

MTV Orders 80 More Episodes of Parental Control

MTV has ordered 80 episodes of the dating series Parental Control.  The order will take the show through its sixth season, making it MTV’s longest running dating show.

The series premiered on the network in 2006.
