The panels for the animated Fox comedies American Dad and Family Guy took place back-to-back. Very little was revealed at the American Dad panel, with really the only noteworthy thing being that there was a table reading by the voice actors of the show, so we’ll just jump into the Family Guy panel. The creators of Family Guy are opening up the new season with a special one-hour Star Wars themed two-parter. Well today Fox released a special promotional poster for the episode with the cast of Family Guy.

During the “Family Guy” panel at this year’s Comic-Con, the cast and crew showed the crowd in attendence several clips of what will be the season premiere of the series. Titled “Blue Harvest”, the episode will be an hour-long and be patterned in the style of an Airplane spoof of the first Star Wars film.

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane told The Hollywood Reporter that he and his team are looking into possibly working on a movie based on the hit Fox animated series sometime down the line. MacFarlane also said that The Winner may not be dead after all.

Star Wars seems to be all the rage this year especially when it comes to animation. With the folks at Robot Chicken incorporating the franchise into one of their episodes, now comes word from Variety that the creators of Family Guy have gotten the go-ahead by Lucasfilm to start next season with a Star Wars spoof.
