In an interview with TV Guide, ex-E.R. star Noah Wyle–who’ll make several appearances this season–said that he believes Clooney will “absolutely” appear in the show in an episode, so long as his schedule is open. Still no word from Clooney himself via PopEater

There were rumors of George Clooney returning one more time for E.R. next season (planned to be the show’s last), but Clooney told Extra that he has no plans to return to the NBC drama: “The truth of the matter is they wouldn’t ask, and there really would be no reason for it.”
Despite the feelings of many in the industry, and certainly some of the shows still faithful fans, executive producer John Wells isn’t ready to give up on E.R. just yet. |
