NBC has announced that they’ll be premiering five shows online on the newly formed service Hulu before their TV premiere. The five shows are Knight Rider, 30 Rock, Lipstick Jungle, Life and Chuck. The episodes will air a week prior to their broadcast premiere.

NBC has announced that they’ve given a back-nine, full-season, order for the second season of Chuck. NBC says that they were pleased with the first six episodes of the series (which they’ve seen), and wanted to keep the momentum going. Season two of Chuck premieres on September 29th.

NBC has picked up freshman drama series Chuck and Life, as well as the hit sci-fi drama Heroes for the 2008-09 season.

Three networks have put in additional script orders for several of the fall’s new shows. CBS has ordered four more scripts of the Jimmy Smitts drama Cane, while CW has ordered three more scripts for its new comedy Aliens in America.
