Quentin Tarantino is currently in production on his Western Django Unchained, but The Weinstein Company has cast Jonah Hill for a role in the film. It’s unknown what role Hill will be playing in the film, which is scheduled to hit theaters December 25, 2012, but Hill was originally eyed for a role earlier but had to turn it down due to a busy schedule.
In other casting news, Just Jared reports that Model/Actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (“Transformers: Dark of the Moon”‘) has been cast in George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road. Huntington-Whiteley will play one of the “five wives” in the film, described previously by fellow star Zoe Kravitz in an interview last year to MTV:
“There’s a group of five women being taken from one place to another place, and I’m one of those women,” she teased. “So they call us the five wives. There are five women who are five wives. No, I’m not playing all five wives.”
Riley Keough plays another of the wives. Mad Max: Fury Road is expected to begin shooting next month. Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult star.
