In the midst of several planned reshoots and a delayed June 21, 2013 release date, Heat Vision | THR is reporting that “Lost” co-creator and “Prometheus” writer Damon Lindelof has been hired by Paramount Pictures to rewrite the studio’s big screen adaptation of the 2006 Max Brooks novel World War Z.

Directed by Marc Forster and starring Brad Pitt (who is also a producer), reshoots are expected to begin this September or October. The film was originally scheduled to hit theaters this December 21.
