20th Century Fox fox has pushed back the release of Thor Freudenthal’s Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters by five months from March 15, 2013 to a new date of August 16, 2013. The studio also announced a shift for Kenneth Branagh’s Walking with Dinosaurs which will now hit theaters on December 20, 2013–two months later than its original October 11, 2013 release date.
Fox also set a April 5, 2013 release date for an upcoming Untitled Sandra Bullock/Melissa McCarthy Comedy.
In other release date news, Disney has shifted Alan Taylor’s Thor 2 up a week from Wednesday, November 15, 2013 to Friday, November 8, 2013, while Gore Verbinski’s The Lone Ranger will be bumped about a month from May 31, 2013 to July 3, 2013. Disney also announced a nine month delay for Steven Spielberg’s Robopocalypse: from July 3, 2013 to April 25, 2014.
